02 / What drives me

Building supplies
the energy.

The joy of making things work.

I’ve always wanted to understand how things work and what else they could become. As a child, I took electronics apart and built things from the pieces. Today, I find that same satisfaction in connecting ideas across medicine, engineering, and AI, then testing whether they can work in the world.

Human lives

A life to get back to.

Medicine has made the purpose of that work personal. I think about someone returning home with their independence, their memories, and time with the people they love. I want to build tools that give patients more say in their care and clinicians more ability to help.

AI gives me a way to turn deeper understanding into tools people can use. My work on Argus, my contribution to Mensana, and my lab-hôpital proposal each explore a part of that ambition: helping people live more fully, on their own terms.

03 / The person behind the work

A clinician who builds.
A builder who cares.

My path has taken me from family medicine, emergency departments, and intensive care to anesthesiology, ECMO, and resuscitation research.

Today, I’m an anesthesiologist and associate researcher at Hôpital du Sacré-Cœur de Montréal, and a resuscitation and ECMO consultant with Urgences-santé. Alongside that work, I’m completing an M.Sc. focused on AI at Concordia University.

I work closely with clinicians, engineers, and researchers to turn clinical problems into projects we can test and improve. I stay involved in the technical work: building an early version often reveals questions we wouldn’t have found in discussion alone.

Working together

At the junction of
clinical care and AI.

I’ve been fortunate to work with teams of clinicians, researchers, engineers, and trainees who have made these projects possible. Their ideas, expertise, and commitment shape what we build and what we learn.

Clinical direction

My clinical experience helps me recognize the problems that matter to patients and the workflows around them. My work in AI helps me assess where it could be useful, choose an approach, and help build the solution. I connect what a care team needs with what the technology can realistically do.

People & evidence

I work with colleagues to frame research questions, design studies, and interpret what the results actually support. We challenge assumptions and use the findings to decide what to improve or pursue next. That shared judgment is essential to making progress we can trust.
